Frequently Asked Questions

What does your Board & Train program include?

Our professional 6-week program focuses on creating a reliable foundation through clear communication and structured immersion. It includes daily intensive training sessions, environmental neutrality proofing in real-world scenarios, and mastery of all basic obedience commands under high-distraction. Owners receive a detailed transition plan to ensure long-term behavioral success and clarity at home.

What does your Puppy Raise & Train program include?

As early as 8 weeks, our Puppy Raise & Train program provides a structured head-start for your new companion, focusing on essential socialization and early obedience. It includes housebreaking and crate training foundations, structured obedience, and environmental exposure to build confidence and neutrality. This immersive experience ensures a well-adjusted puppy ready for advanced training and a lifetime of clear communication.

Is food included?

Yes, Sanctus K9 feeds some of the best dog food in the world during training. We will send owners our food recommendation after training if they’d like to continue it at home.

What if my dog needs more training time?

Six weeks is the foundation. If more time is needed to reach the standard, we take it — no additional charge. We don't send dogs home on schedule. We send them home ready.

What does life look like for my dog during training?

Your dog doesn't board in a kennel. They live with their trainer — in a home environment, around family, around real life. Two structured sessions daily. Every moment between them treated as an extension of the work.

What does the investment look like?

Securing your spot requires a 10% non-refundable deposit. From there, 50% is due at drop-off and the remainder at completion. You have 24 hours to sign and secure your place — no pressure, no follow-up. Discounts for first responders and veterans are available.

Is the e-collar required?

Yes. The e-collar is one of the most misunderstood tools in training — and one of the most effective when used correctly. It creates clear, consistent communication without relying on treats or repeated commands. The more precisely it's used in training, the less it's needed in everyday life.

What will I need to purchase?

Minimal. The only owner purchase required is a place board upon completion. All training equipment — including a custom-fitted flat collar, prong collar, e-collar, and leash — is provided as part of the program.

How does drop-off and pickup work?

Drop-off and pickup are done directly with your trainer. A Week 4 check-in visit is strongly encouraged — it's where you'll see the work in action and begin learning what's needed to maintain it at home. If travel isn't an option, we offer home delivery at an additional $5,000 — covering first-class transport, hotel, and a rental vehicle from start to finish.

Can I visit my dog during the program?

Outside of the Week 4 check-in and end-of-program session, visits are generally discouraged. Consistency is the foundation of everything we build — and interruptions, even well-intentioned ones, can disrupt that. Regular photo and video updates are provided throughout so you stay connected to your dog's progress. That said, if a visit is important to you, we'll work with you. We just want you to have the full picture before deciding.

Is this program right for my dog?

That depends on both sides. Sanctus K9 is selective by design — not every dog is the right fit, and neither is every owner. We take on clients who are as committed to the outcome as we are. If that alignment is there, we go all in. The results follow.
